A real Raspberry Pi Project . . . . in detail . .

This is the kind of stuff Raspberry Pi Clubs work on and why it’s such a versatile learning tool.   With it’s small form factor & low price, these projects become “doable” . . . Can even combine projects into phases and use PC’s/Mac’s/Tablets for back-end processing.

  1. Guess I may have to get a part-time job to have the money for all this Raspberry Pi stuff. Interesting to see that the first project is fairly doo-able with a fair amount of coding. The second project, Mirror, mirror, sure got pricey, fast. Never thought to use my iPad as a mirror…wait…wait…there it is! 🙂

  2. I think this kind of project is ideal for a 3, 4 or 5 person team (of folks having the right skill-sets). The knowledge gained can then be used for future jobs, projects, etc.

In my own case, I’d have to prioritize learning a bunch more about Networking (e.g., NextCloud), LibreOffice tools, Virtualization/Containers, WordPress yada yada yada . . . . as that enhances what I actually use.
