Example of “Rare” Customer Service for PC’s

Above is a “same day” response from Emma to an issue I reported on Cecilia’s System76 AIO (all in one) desktop PC.   The PC is out of it’s 1 year warranty but with System76, they continue to provide software support for the life of the PC (at no cost to the customer).

The issue was a Canonical update that issued a flawed kernel in response to the Meltdown/Spectre fiasco.

I’ll provide more detail at our club meeting for the 4 other Linux users in case this is or was an issue for them also.
