About Us | rev. 05/21/2016

We are a technology club focused on learning and improving our computing related skills.   We were originally founded in 1984 as “SLUGO” . . or “Sanyo Local Users Group of Omaha”.

At that time, Sanyo sold IBM compatible PC’s.   Several members owned these machines which ran the early version of MS-DOS.  The club has since upgraded our services to include all the current PC and mobile OS’s, including but not limited to Ubuntu, ChromeOS and Android!

We meet the second Saturday of each month from 9:15 am to 11:45 am at the Sump Public Library in Papillion (Omaha area) to cover all the latest technology news, demo popular software programs, review the latest hardware, and explore upcoming web technologies including Cloud.

Want to learn how to develop your own websites, run a VPN, install Ubuntu or build your home network?  If so . . . you’re welcome and encouraged to join us.  We usually have Lunch after each meeting at a nearby restaurant for good food and conversation.
